Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back end services
- Implement mathematical and statistical algorithms for risk model evaluations.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate machine learning models into back end systems.
- Design and optimize database schemas for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in production environments.
- Implement security best practices in code and infrastructure configurations.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Python and Rust programming languages, with a strong understanding of their respective ecosystems.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), for deploying and managing services.
- Solid understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, especially as applied to risk modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge of software development best practices including version control (e.g., Git), agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in security or related domains is a bonus but not required.
